Energy
We rely on 'green' energy, save energy on a daily basis - and we are happy when all guests join in.
WHAT WE ALREADY DO:
- We obtain 100 % of our electricity from renewable sources ('green power').
- Our heating energy comes from resource-preserving sources.
- Digital timers and motion detectors are used on the whole hotel campus.
- We do not use minibars in guest rooms.
- We stopped using welcome lighting and switched-on TV sets when guests first enter their rooms.
- In winter heating is switched to a minimum in rooms that are not in use, light is switched off.
- Our Country House was renovated for energy efficiency in 2021 (including roof insulation, doors and windows).
- We use energy-saving appliances in all hotel areas.
- The sauna area is put into operation depending on the weather in order to avoid "low demand times". Guests can specifically book earlier opening times.
- In guest rooms power is cut automatically with the key card plug-in system at the room door.
- Our whole laundry materials (towels, tablecloths, duvets, etc.) is rented and cleaned is outsourced to an external provider with energy-efficient large-scale washing machines.
- We collect data on energy consumption annually.
- By 2023: Installation of temperature controllers in all rooms
- By 2025: Replacement of all halogen lights with LEDs
